As long-lived perennials, these 5 + eye Alertie peony roots are to be planted in autumn for beautiful displays in your garden.

Alertie blooms early in peony season and offers small tight buds that develop into beautiful light pink blooms with a heavenly scent.

Care
These lovely roots need to be planted in a sunny position, where it catches the sun for the majority of the day. Avoid planting them under trees and ensure they are at least 2 ft from a wall.
Dig a hole which is 8 inches deep by 1 ft round and place the root with the eyes facing up, 1 inch below the surface. Add soil and water generously. Avoid using mulch as it encourages bacteria. If planting multiple peony roots, plant them at least 3 ft apart to ensure good airflow.
